How to install Voodoo for Galaxy S ? You have 2 options :
Please make sure your battery has enough juice left or that your on charger, the operation can take several minutes and you wouldn’t want it to be interrupted.
You can install newer versions over previous without a hitch but as I tuned some minor Ext4 parameters, you can disable/enable the lagfix. This is optional.
Update.zip method (recommended; computer not required):
- Copy the Voodoo package as /sdcard/update.zip at the root of your SD Card.
- Reboot into recovery using the 3 button combo for your phone or “adb reboot recovery”
- Apply update.zip
- Enjoy !
Odin (for experts only):
Flashing the custom kernel with Odin as “PDA” part, without repartition.
To accept Odin operations, your phone need to be in “Download mode”
Odin is not as reliable as the update.zip method because of the weakness of the communication protocol between Odin and the Phone.
First boot:
First boot take longer because of the conversion process. The conversion status will be notified by a cool voice
